Bitboy V1.2 - Surprise QOL Update
Hello! It's been a while.
With how long it's been since Ludum Dare 50, I felt like it was time to finally come back and make some Quality of Life updates that I'd been wanting to do for some time. This should make the game better for those returning to it, or those who are playing it for the first time. Most notably, the issues with the dialogue system have been addressed. Dialogue speed for all text has been about doubled, and the player can now use 'E' rather than 'Left Click' to go through lines of dialogue. In addition, the player can press 'E' on most texts to skip the text scroll and immediately show the new line of text. Other small updates have been made around the place visually, but they aren't too significant.
Bitboy V1.2 Patch Notes:
- Dialogue speed has been about doubled across the board
- Going to the next box of text is now done with 'E' rather than 'Left Click'
- The player can now skip the text scrolling by pressing 'E' to immediately show the full line
- Fixed issue with next line prompts (where 'E' would appear) would not appear in certain instances
- The initial transition in and out of dialogue with the characters sliding upwards has been polished
- Additional small visual effects throughout
- Minor dialogue changes
